My experience with T.E.A.L came about through a friend who lost her sister. Until then, I knew nothing about ovarian cancer. Throughout this journey I have learned what symptoms to look for, the lack of tests that exists for early detection and I have seen close hand the heart break involved when a diagnosis comes too late. It is why I have had the honor of volunteering with TEAL for the last 7yrs. We all have a mother, aunt, sister, cousin, daughter or friend and is why i believe in the importance of spreading the awareness and education to them all in order to help early detection.
