Review for Women in Film & Video Inc, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a member of WIFV over the last year, I have found the events calendar and slate of interesting topics and activities to be of enormous benefit to me as a pursue a professional career in screenwriting.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

I've made interesting and important connections with peers and more established writers and producers in the film industry.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I'm not sure if there is an online quarterly newsletter, but if there isn't, that would be helpful to track what WIFV has been doing as well as what it plans to do in the near future. The monthly calendar is already very helpful.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The flexibility of the organization and its willingness to bring in local and outside talent to conduct seminars, lectures and workshops.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Board members and staff. Very friendly, very supportive. If you have questions, they seem more than willing to help you.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Definitely advance the careers of a great many woman screenwriters, filmmakers, and talent.

Ways to make it better...

I had known about them sooner!

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Probably financial. It is still a rather small community so external capital support would be helpful.

One thing I'd also say is that...

These are some of the most committed and dedicated women professionals (of any industry) that I've seen and they are willing to invest a lot of time and energy in making WIFV work for its members.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
