I adopted a wonderful horse through this rescue, ending up saving 3 lives!! Marlene Dodge is an amazing, kind, and competent person. I called her for help evacuating horses from the Chimney Fire in San Luis Obispo County, and she didn't hesitate to help. Her facility is orderly and the horses there are very well looked after. By the way, I am a volunteer with an emergency evacuation group, and I know only a very few people I can recommend as highly as Marlene.
