My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA
I am working toward my MSW degree at the University of Michigan. The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan has been a great place to learn how to do therapy. It is an incredibly supportive environment, and everyone who works there works incredibly hard to serve TWC's clients well. It's one of the only places in the area people can get counseling on a *true* sliding scale (many people are priced out of sliding scales that bottom out at $40). TWC continually gets clients calling for counseling because our reputation within the professional community grows; other social workers I know smile when I say I work for TWC and tell me that many of their clients they've referred to TWC were greatly helped. It's a truly amazing place.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the supportive caring environment.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
kind and generous people who work hard.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
make women more powerful, thereby creating a stronger community, stronger families, and healthier kids.
