I give Rikki's Refuge credit for keeping me alive for the last 25 years. I had no purpose in life when I retired. Then I found Rikki's. I love building things, working on the tractors, walking the dog, talking to the livestock, and don't tell .... but I adore all the cats !!!! I'm at Rikki's virtually 24/7. It's the best home for animals on this planet.

Rikki's was there for me again this year !!! Even with all the quarantine and problems. I'm so thankful for them. I had to place a relative's animals after their death. How do you find a home for a pig and goat where nobody will hurt them? Rikki's Refuge !!!! I'm so thankful. And so glad I got to visit again too. It's wonderful how they'll send me pictures and keep me up on how the animals are doing. We need so many many more places like this in the world.

This is my place to volunteer. I know my time here is well spent. I have been helping for over 20 years. Hard to believe it's been so long. I came to the first volunteer work day when there was nothing here. Now I help care for 450 acres of land, lots of space set aside for the wildlife, and over 100 acres for housing for the domestic and farm animals. There are always projects to do, dogs to walk, cat to hold, and so much to do.

I'd visited Rikki's Refuge a time or two in the past. Then this year I needed their help. I never thought I'd be in such a position. I was scared and facing homelessness and my animals had no where to go. Rikki's Refuge was so kind and wonderful to me. They lovingly accepted my animals and they even helped me in so many ways. I don't think I would have made it with out them. The volunteers were so kind and loving. Calling me a few times just to check on how I was doing. They didn't have to do that. But it made a world of difference to me. I hope to start volunteering soon. they really deserve your support in every way possible.

Rikki's Refuge saved my family. When mom died, dad had to go to assisted living. They had lots of animals, cats, dogs, goats, pigs. None of us kids could keep them cuz we didn't have land and you can't put those kind of animals in apartments. We had to sell dad's little farm to pay the expenses and he begged us not to sell his animals to market. I spent days and days trying to figure out what to do with those pets. And I found Rikki's Refuge. I was so amazed when they helped us and they gave the animals home and now the animals can live there for ever and ever -- they never kill them. I go on tours when I come to visit dad and I get pictures of his favorite old pets to show him. It makes him so happy. I think he might of died too if we'd had to sell his animals at the livestock market. Thank you Rikki's Refuge for saving those animals and saving all of us from watching our dad die of grief.
