I just wanted to take this time to thank Cheryl from Critter Care Adoptions for her hard work in helping to rescue Snickers, a German Shepherd mix. He belonged to a client of mine, but she was unable to keep him due to complications with her living arrangements. Snickers was 2 years old and was not the most well-behaved dog, but was very sweet and just needed some love and attention. My client was going to forfeit him to a shelter, but my fear was that most shelters would immediately put him down due to his behavioral issues. I therefore turned to social media as well as calling every rescue in the area in hopes of locating someone that could help find a home for this sweet boy. Unfortunately, I received very few responses on social media, and was not having any success with rescues calling me back. I then received a call from Cheryl and I immediately could tell from talking with her that she was someone that truly cared about this animal’s safety and well-being. I discussed Snickers’ situation with her at length, and she assured me that she would do everything in her power to help find Snickers a home. Through her relentless efforts, she was able to help find a no-kill shelter that was willing to take Snickers in. While we could not find him his forever home, with Cheryl’s help, Snickers now has a home at a shelter that will take care of him and make sure he is safe until he can be adopted one day. I am truly appreciative of Cheryl’s assistance, which saved Snickers’ life. I can’t thank her enough for all of her help, and would recommend this rescue to anyone trying to help an animal in need.
