Review for Refuge Ranch Ministries of Charlotte Inc, Charlotte, NC, USA

Rating: 1 stars

God delivers and heals people, not ministries. There's not a secret proprietary formula for healing and deliverance. It's all plainly laid out in the Bible.

Refuge Ranch is considered to be a deliverance ministry. I was delivered from generational bondage after a Refuge Ranch meeting in my home. I was not delivered by believing one of Refuge Ranch's doctrines, but rather by rejecting the doctrine, that generational bondage applies to both Christians who love God and non-believers. I simply studied the Bible and realized that generational bondage does not apply to those who love God. The curses of generational bondage only apply to those who hate God,

Exodus 20:5
You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,

The following verses debunk a commonly held ancient belief that apparently has survived to this day:
Ezekiel 18:
19 “Yet do you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the punishment for the father’s sin?’ When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has kept all My statutes and has done them, he shall certainly live. 20 The person who sins [is the one that] will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the sin of the father, nor will the father bear the punishment for the sin of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be on himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on himself.

As a Christian, my own belief that the curses of generational bondage affect the Christian as well as the unbeliever, served as a detriment to the relationship I had/have with my 20 year old daughter. As with any family, my side of the family had its issues. Because my daughter's appearance and personality resemble a family member who had alcohol, rebellion and substance abuse problems, the false doctrine of generational bondage had me believing my daughter was programmed for failure. I believed she was prone to follow in the footsteps of the family member I just mentioned. She had expressed disappointment in my lack of confidence in her and decisions she made over the years from a very early age. After I revealed the source of my lack of confidence in her and apologized for believing the false doctrine of generational bondage, we were both freed from life-limiting heresy. This is an example of why the Bible calls heresy, destructive.

Refuge Ranch Ministries also teaches that a demon/demons can literally dwell within the body of a believer. I reject this doctrine as well, because it is not found anywhere in the Bible. Not anywhere. The worst thing anyone ever said about Jesus was spoken by a Scribe claiming Jesus was demon possessed. When Jesus died on the cross, he willingly offered his Spirit, (Christ) to those willing to repent and receive salvation. Demons do not cohabit the body of a person who is a God loving believer filled with Christ and the Holy Spirit. That concept is heresy. People do need freedom and deliverance from demonic oppression minus the false doctrine thrown in.
Some will claim they have seen with their own eyes, demonic activity in a believer. Demons can oppress Christians only to the point Christians allow themselves to be deceived. Satan is a master of illusion and with a foothold in a Christians life, demons have the power to create false realities in the mind of believers by power of suggestion. It's an illusion. Jesus quoted scripture to Satan when he was tempted. The Bible clearly indicates that Christians need to resist the devil, pray, and fast. No need to add anything else not found in the Bible.
