Review for Raptor House Rehabilitation Center, Yakima, WA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I help in training non-releasable raptors for educational use. Help with the educational programs, build pens, clean up, pick up injured wildlife.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

learning how to capture injured wildlife, transport them, helping at the vet hospital with the injured animals, mainly raptors. Learned how to train eagles, and other raptors.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

provide more fundraisers to get the funds needed to make this a fully operational program that could reach out to more people in the public.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

the release of injured raptors to the center. Working with the centers educational eagles.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

the volunteers and board members are a great group of people working hard to keep the organization afloat.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

I could see the organization building new pens to care for more animals, an educational center on site to provide a place for school field trips.

Ways to make it better...

we could get the word out to the public about the needs for the center.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

the much needed funds to make the program grow in the location of Yakima.

One thing I'd also say is that...

This is the only organization in the Yakima area. It needs to be able to grow with the help of donated funds. I would say to people get out your check book and visit the Raptor House for an educational experience.
