Review for Florida Trail Association Inc, Gainesville, FL, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As a member since the 1990's in 3 different chapters, I've really enjoyed the volunteering, programs, Hiking Festival, and fellowship. We've hiked, kayaked, manned booths at Birding Festivals, attended chapter programs, and cleared brush from trails.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The #1 hiking trails in the US.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Have 6 chapter meetings a year, for all the state chapters. This is an outdated, pre-internet requirement to hold monthly meetings.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Hiking and kayaking on day-trips with wonderful members.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Phenomenal people across the state!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Hire a lot of worthy educators, trail maintainers and designers, and have incredible off-road trails near every city.

Ways to make it better...

monthly chapter meetings were at night.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Money & land ownership. Website needs to be more interactive and make it easier to find upcoming activities.

One thing I'd also say is that...

The Footprint magazine is terrific. I enjoy sharing it with other conservationists.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
