I have been with Children International for over ten years now and couldn't be happier! I began sponsoring Cindy when I was 22 years old and living in Chicago. I decided that I spent the amount that they would need from me to help provide basic needs to a child on coffee every week! So, I gave up going out and buying coffee and instead donated that money to Children International. I receive regular updates that give information on where she lives & housing, her parents and other members of her family, her schooling and health status. I get new pictures and get to send and receive letters too!! Cindy has grown so much since I first began writing to her... She is now a senior in high school and has plans to attend college!! I am proud of her and the beautiful young woman she has become and would have never known her without Children International. I would definitely recommend this charity as a way not only to help provide basic necessities for a young child living in poverty but to get to know them and be a part of their family!
