My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for KVIE Inc, Sacramento, CA, USA
I have volunteered on 4-5 occasions with KVIE;created curriculum support for the Educational Outreach program, assisted with educational mailings to the community schools and volunteered in reception areas for the art auction. I believe KVIE speaks for itself with the programs that are presented and their employees. The employees team build with the volunteers and are very passionate about their community and the resources that are provided by the volunteers. I am a teacher and a Human Resources Professional and because all of my interactions are about "people", I can't say enough about KVIE's culture. KVIE is a very desirable to just be.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
all of the various educational programs that are offered to the public. Implementing diversity has been key in making KVIE successful.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
just continue doing what you are doing. Without knowing all of the internal operations of KVIE, I cannot make a comment. I can say whatever KVIE is currently doing, it definitely has the approval of the general public.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the ability to be creative in the Educational Outreach program and meeting others who share the same passion that I do.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
supurb. You can tell the employees want to be there, love their jobs and are passionate for what they are doing.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
offer additional prime educational resources for our children that the schools are not providing due to California's insane cut in budgets.
Ways to make it better...
my other commitments did not get in the way of more volunteering.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
continued and consistent financial support. With the national economic downturn and California's financial crisis, specifically, the high unemployment rate, finding monetary contributions will be even more difficult for a non-profit organization.
One thing I'd also say is that...
my dream job would be working for KVIE.
