Review for Childrens Health Council Inc, Palo Alto, CA, USA
After doing research concerning early signs of Autism spectrum issues, I reached out to ESPA (Early Support Program for Autism), which is jointly sponsored by Stanford and CHC and Gina Baldi. I began noticing that my infant daughter actively avoided making eye contact with others starting around 2-3 months old, and had concerns that this might be a very early sign of some sort of autism spectrum disorder. When we saw little improvement over several months, Gina graciously accepted us for a meeting with our daughter. She agreed that it was something to pay attention to, and armed us with numerous early intervention techniques for helping our daughter in the critical first year of brain development. We no longer have any concerns about spectrum issues for our daughter. Although I can't say definitively that the early intervention is the reason, I can say unequivocally that the early intervention tools and resources we received from CHC and ESPA were a huge help for us and our daughter. Where most places refuse to even discuss early signs of spectrum issues, this clinic gave us information and tools during what I think is the most critical time in a child's early development. We are so thankful for the attention and care that we received, and have recommended this group to others with concerns about learning disabilities.
