Review for Ellicott Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Colorado Springs, CO, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Ellicott Wildlife is completely and totally operated and funded by donations. There are no state funds for helping injured or sick wildlife in Colorado, so individuals pick up this gigantic task. They do everything from feeding baby birds to getting coyotes repaired by volunteer veterinarians and then keeping them "wild" until they can be released into the wild again. They are wonderful.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

The high number of injured and sick wildlife that are returned whole and healthy to the wild.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try to do half of what they do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Their extreme dedication and quality of care they provide to wild animals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Extremely professional and helpful.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Do more education, build a great facility for treatment, even hire a couple of paid employees!

Ways to make it better...

Every animal could have lived:(

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The high number of animals that are brought to them and the constant need for funds for food and care.

One thing I'd also say is that...

If anyone if deserving, they are.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010

Role:  Volunteer & Transport injured wildlife to EWRC.
