I came to the Miami Bach Society fifteen years ago to play a concert at their Tropical baroque Music Festival. I made friends immediately with the amazing team that ran the organization. We developed a very close working relationship, and I soon took up a position in an advisory role. This role has brought me in close contact with a very wonderful community, from which I have drawn many friends, thanks to the amazing widespread ties the Society has established since its beginning and continues to nurture and expand upon. In addition to our regular concert activities we have brought music to public schools, shopping centers, Chamber of Commerce meetings and brought the expertise of visiting performers to local universities. Bringing music to so many different elements of of the diversified community is a task we have accepted with joy, and our reward is seeing , visibly, the good it does. We hope to widen our efforts to bring music to a younger public through new programs, some of which are already in development.
