It has many positive effects on the lives of families with foster kids: congregates; helps out with clothes; toys and diapers and other sumilar goods; hosts speakers with relevant topics; organizes fun events; and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. I wish this dear organization all the best and a healthy continuous growth.

My partner and I have been going to the Foster Parent Association meetings since we found out about them on our training to become foster parents with the Social Service Agency of Alamenda County. It is a great association to be part of the foster parent community in a semi formal way. They are a small group which makes it cozy, but not too small. It helps you feel more empower about navigating the multiple systems and technicalities of the journey of being a foster parent. I'm glad that there is a core of members that have been committed through out the years to make the association to function. I feel respect and friendship and I think we all in the association want the association to thrive to become better at what we are doing. It is a great community place that I'm happy to be part of these days.
