Review for Blue Horse Mukwa Equine Retirement and Rescue Center, Chase City, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Upon becoming acquainted with Blue Horse Mukwa we were so moved by the need it serves and by the love and care provided by the owner and volunteers for the animals mental and physical well being. This we wanted to be a part of. The animals come from tragic backgrounds, but with the excellent care at Blue Horse, they are able to live out a more pleasant life. The community is served by Blue Horse which provides an opportunity for youthful volunteers to learn the value of hard work and the moral and ethical treatment of animals under the watchful tutelage of the owner, Rabiah. All lives benefit from being touched by Blue Horse. Much hard has gone into, and continues to go into improving Blue Horse from its beginning. The achievement is remarkable.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

how it has improved the lives of youth and adults while it improves the lives of abused animals.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

be hard pressed to do a small fraction of what Rabiah has been able to do.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

getting the know the people involved, Rabiah, her mother Jerry, some of the supporters, and the animals.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

all of the same dedication, seemingly.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

do much more with more help.

Ways to make it better...

we would have been able to give more.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

finding enough people of the same persuasion to help take some of the load from those who are carrying it now.

One thing I'd also say is that...

if only all people cared as much as Rabiah about their footprint on the planet, this effort would not be necessary.

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?
