Review for The Gay Christian Network, Raleigh, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I really have to say this one thing. Gay Christian Network is one of the greatest places that I have been to. It is a place that is welcoming to LGBT people and straight allies both either encouraging celibacy or affirming long-term committed relationships while still a safe place to come as a community, worship and grow in the Christian faith. It is a place where I can truly be honest about myself as a bisexual christian.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Chats, radio programs, messages, and testimonies of gay Christians. It is a beautiful thing when people are being authentic and not necessarily putting on something that makes them "Christian." Yet they are staying true to the gospel.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

see above.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The radio shows. They are fun, family-friendly, uplifting, and keep a strong Christian message

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Nate K. and Aaron. who work with the technology at GCN

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Cure world hunger by using the messages as a mission

Ways to make it better...

I knew more people and there were ways to put a youtube vid on w/o some limits.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

The Anti-gay rhetoric of some conservative christians out there and the Anti-Christian rhetoric of some gays outside the church.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Although things may not be perfect, no nonprofit organization is. No organization is in general. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. It is hard work and I am so inspired by the executive director's, Justin Lee's, testimony.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week
