Review for Neighbors Of Seaton Place, Washington, DC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

As an employee, I must say that my experiences with the youth participants over the pass six years have been both a challenge and a pleasure. NOSP is a learning-site offering a non-traditional safe haven that offers its youth learning experiences that are geared to broadening conceptional skills in an attempt to open doors outside of their normal neighbor setting. Youth participating in the NOSP program are exposed to a social setting that encompasses both individual and group development programs and are encouraged to explore all aspects of cultural diversity and incorporate them into their every day lives as best they can. NOSP, a place to learn as youth grow and, of course, have fun.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Enjoyed 2008 PSA on youth violence

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Expand the program for the entire year

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Working with inner-city youth

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Knowledgeable, caring and interested in youth development.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

take on the greater challenge of youth empowerment

Ways to make it better...

If this were a year-round program

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Understanding by funders of the need for year-round youth participation in these types of programs.

One thing I'd also say is that...

no youth should be without a safe haven

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every six months
