We have had the opportunity to volunteer at Longhopes Donkey shelter for the past three years. It has been a life changing experience for us. I fell in love with a pregnany donkey named Calypso. Who Longhopes rescued from a kill pen. We sold our home and found a home that was donkey friendly. We adopted Calypso and her baby. Named the baby Faith because we took a leap of a Faith by changing our life style late in life. We also adopted a male donkey named Dalton and a mini named Lolita. The rest as they say is history! We couldn't be happier! Thank you Kathy at Longhopes for letting us be apart of your wonderful organization ! And all you do for homeless, abused and neglected donkeys!
