My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Last Chance Animal Rescue Inc, Waldorf, MD, USA
I adopted a kitty from LCAR in Alexandria, VA about a year ago who was very sick immediately after I brought her home. My vet told me the project age was actually much lower, and when I brought the cat to the vet they said, that she was spayed WAY to early. Eventually she ended up dying after a short but happy life. Just assuming this was a fluke, and her death not necessarily having to do with LCAR.
We just adopted another kitty on Sunday evening and it is now four days later and our kitty was in the hospital because he was very ill then he died. AFTER FOUR DAYS. This rescue has a horrible virus going around and do not adopt ANY Animals from them. They need to be shut down immediately, because multiple families have gone through this same thing.
Keep in mind these cats were both cleared by a vet with a supposed "clean bill of health." This animal rescue, clearly do not look after or care for their animals. They should be shut down immediately, and I will never ever adopt another pet from here ever again. If you considering getting run far away, because even if you have pet insurance, it will not kick in by the time you incur a major bill because of the poor health of your kitty.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Shut it down. There is no hope for this place they are awful.
