Review for Silicon Valley Shakespeare, San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

SVS consistently provides creative, accessible and high quality productions. More importantly, their commitment to free admission for children and teens brings live theatre to many who might not have access otherwise. They have also provided training, internships, and acting opportunities to young people that are not easily found elsewhere in the Bay area. And they have created a family atmosphere among the company and the audience that I have never seen anywhere else.

Review for Silicon Valley Shakespeare, San Jose, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Being involved with Shady Shakespeare has helped me deepen my understanding and appreciation of Shakespeare, continue my lifelong involvement in live theatre and support Shady's efforts to reach out to persons who might otherwise never see or appreicate live classical drama.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

seeing and hearing the lively discussions of even very young children after performances

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

find more volunteers to raise money

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

enjoying beautiful productions in a gorgeous setting

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

friendly and fun

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

create a company that could be truly outstanding and have a stable structure that would allow it to grow for - forever.

Ways to make it better...

they had better sound equipment to amplify voices in their outdoor stage

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

limited time for fundraising in a difficult economy and difficulty finding additional Board members

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
