Review for Last Chance Animal Rescue Inc, Waldorf, MD, USA
Update: Tonight we euthanized our kitten. The emergency vet did all he could. We are heartbroken. This sweet animal deserved so much better. The vet says he suspects that a lethal virus is going through their cattery. Another cat adopted through LCAR was brought into his emergency room earlier in the week. He strongly recommended not adopted from LCAR in the future. I pass that recommendation on to you.
I have adopted two cats from PetSmart through LCAR. Both were checked by LCAR's vet. One of the cats came to us with a broken hip and had to have surgery to repair the break. Sadly, we thought it was a fluke since the severity of the injury only showed up on X-rays. So we adopted a kitten from them this past week. She is currently at the emergency vet with an upper respiratory infection. We don't know if she is going to make it. Luckily, we're able to afford the thousands of dollars it has and will take to give these two cats a chance at a good life. That doesn't excuse LCAR from putting unhealthy kittens and cats up for adoption.
