Review for Arts For All, New York, NY, USA
It's all about the eyes. The reward is watching the myriad of expressions flash across their faces: surprise, pride, wonderment, pure joy, and the moment of finally understanding. As a volunteer, my favorite memory was helping a group of handicapped students tour the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the first time. The Arts for All leader's talent for facilitating, both visually and emotionally what the paintings and sculptures were attempting to express, proved that art does speak to the soul. Arts for All, Inc. mission is to start a conversation with every student in the city.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
watching students grow from not trusting their abilities to begin taking risks.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
that I can help students treasure their own "voice" in creating works of art. Teaching children that appreciating their uniqueness is not only valuable, but necessary to their genuine happiness and self-acceptance.
