Rating: 5 stars

Diamond in the Rough is a top notched and award winning youth development program for girls. Not only does this organization provide mentoring to young girls, it also provides opportunities to the entire community. Weekly mentoring sessions, Parent Workshops, Webinars and Workshops focused on College and Career Planning, Abstinence and Leadership are just a few of the tools this organization has used to transform families, communities and the world.

Makes a difference in the community and in the lives of girls. I have also in the last few years become a Client as well....the growth I have experienced with my daughter and her level of confidence and leadership skills is priceless.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Try to obtain more resources to be able to reach more people

As both a Volunteer and the parent, DITR is an AMAZING organization. I Thank God for placing this organization in my path. I started out as a volunteer 11 years ago. The organization has grown by leaps and bounds and has truly been able to make a difference in the lives of young girls, adults, families and our community. I have personally experienced growth in dealing with my own issues with self esteem and self worth and confidence.

As a parent, I have seen my daughter blossom since she has been a part of DITR. My daughter is much more confident in herself and her leadership abilities.....she looks forward to going to DITR and very often chooses it over other activities when we have a schedule conflict.

Through conferences, workshops, cluster sessions etc. DITR is making a positive influence in our society....we are very fortunate that this organization exists.
