I have lived with chronic pain for 15 years now and as a person who suffers with several life altering conditions that cause constant pain every day, I actually stumbled across the pain community by accident, so I thought at the time. I wasn't going to stay in the chat because I felt it wasn't for me and 1 particular member convinced me to stay and come back the next day. I did because really deep inside it was the first time that SOMEONE cared about me and understood the horrific pain that I was in!

I had lost my marriage, friends, employment etc. because of the pain I had daily and I had a daughter that suffered in other ways because she had a mother who had to be medicated all day every day just to survive. Over the course of a few months I found a forever family. Still to this day I have a fantastic pain family who supports not only me but my family members as well.

Many of us have grown very close and have even made it a priority to get together in person on several occasions, and I know that if I am ever in dire need, in pain, need an opinion, need to vent or just lonely I can call, come to this website, facebook, and I can get immediate support 24/7. I owe my life to my Painiac family and I can't imagine a day in my life without them.

Thank you to all the painiacs who have made my life worth hanging on to. Thank you to those I may not know but have prayed for me or kept me in your thoughts. It is wonderful to know you have a place to go! I pray that we can continue sites like this one that can reach out to many others who are in pain or even have similar sites for other problems in peoples lives!
