My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Wolf Haven International, Tenino, WA, USA
Drove two hours with reservation only to be told I couldn't come in because my pet was in the car. So as a result I had to wait in the car while my family went inside. Was a cloudy day, parked under a tree with 58 degree temp. Never will visit again. Funny thing is I sat in the car and didn't have to turn the air conditioning on. I was wearing a coat. Got a refund, for just me. They should post some lame rules like this on the site, so you don't miss out on the beautiful experience it could have been. Will never come back. You've been warned. Wonder what other rules they come up with next that aren't posted. Avoid if you travel with pets that can't stay home for long periods of time.
I understand the frustration you must have felt after driving two hours to visit our sanctuary. It is mentioned on our website (About your Visit/Sanctuary Etiquette) that pets are not allowed on the property. It may not have seemed hot enough that day to leave your pet in the car, but we will always err on the side of the animal's safety. Particularly as an animal sanctuary, we won't take any risks with animals - or our guests.
