My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for The Dragonfly Foundation, Cincinnati, OH, USA
My daughter was diagnosed with a Wilm's tumor in December of 2011. We became part of the Dragonfly Family soon after. The love and support of this wonderful non profit continues to amaze me. They do such a wonderful job of providing comfort and joy to families that go through the terrible struggle of having a child who is diagnosed with cancer or blood disorders. We have been to glow parties at their landing, been to see the circus, received gift cards, get well packages, beauty shop parties (spa night) and continue to be sent invites to other events. Even though we are still included, it's been a while since we attended because we want to make sure that the families who really need these much deserved escapes from their horrible realities can have that opportunity. I'm happy to say that my daughter Sage is 27 months cancer free!
I have also worked with this group professionally. I work for Spring Grive Cemetery and Gwen Mooney Funeral Homes. Unfortunately, not all of our Dragonflies have had the miracle of a full recovery and have lost their well fought battles with this terrible disease. I can say from experience when dealing with them professionally, that they go above and beyond to do whatever is needed to aid these families during this awful time.
If you are considering donating to this wonderful foundation, I highly recommend them. Rest easy knowing your contribution will go toward a worthy and much needed cause.
