I was the founding Program Director with CityScience for two years and am proud to write this review. CItyScience's commitment to engage underserved youth in experiential science in the city is hugely needed and executed very well. The organization works hard to differentiate its programs to the broad range of people it works with while focusing on the assets the youth bring with them. CityScience recognizes the opportunity science presents to educators to weave social skill building into learning while maintaining high academic integrity. Additionally, CityScience operates with a sociopolitical consciousness around issues inequity, an essential consideration when providing underserved communities access to Nature and quality education. CityScience is an exemplary organization that fills an essential role in the work to educate our youth.
