My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for Jewish Family Services, Columbus, OH, USA
I was laid off from my job in February 2009 and contacted Jewish Family Services for help. I was immediately placed into a program with similarly displaced workers. We met weekly as a group, and there was always a speaker or workshop on a relevant topic. They also met with me privately to assess my skills, update and improve my resume, and help me with mock interviews. I am absolutely certain that I would not have found a new job nearly as quickly were it not for the help I received from JFS. My only criticism is that I was so impressed with their organization following my experience that I told them I'd like to get involved as a volunteer, and then I never heard from anyone.

Amazing! They didn't let me become paralyzed or give in to self-pity or procrastination...they were on top of me almost every day, pushing me and challenging me until we met our goals.
