Review for Ride A Wave Foundation Inc, Santa Cruz, CA, USA
Ride a Wave takes special needs children to the beach. There they are taken kayaking, surfing, and body boarding, or they can just play on the sand. Afterwards they are given lunch and each one is given a special award.
I have volunteered for this organization for almost 15 years. This is a 100% volunteer organization. Not a one of us are paid, not even the board of directors. The founder is a winner of the local Jefferson Award, he is a professional firefighter, not paid by this organization. Almost all money that they receive goes to a huge insurance policy.
They don't send the glossy brochures, but this organization is ALL about smiling kids.
