Review for Tabby's Place: a Cat Sanctuary, Inc., Ringoes, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

We adopted our cat from Tabby's Place a year ago. I was amazed when I first visited Tabby's as the cats were not caged, but housed in suites with other cats. I was also impressed that Tabby's provided a clean, well-run, loving sanctuary for cats that probably would otherwise have been euthanized. Some, like the cat we adopted, had behavioral problems, which the Tabby's place staff reviewed with us carefully so that we would know what to expect. They told us the truth: our cat had been adopted before but brought back due to her behavior. Once we were approved for adoption and our cat came home with us, Tabby's place staff followed up several times to make sure things were working out. I'm am thrilled to report that our "behavioral problem" cat has become a big, loving, lap cat whom we adore. She is still tempermental sometimes, but 100 percent better than she had been. We've learned how to judge her moods and let her be, and she has learned to trust us. Thanks to the great people at Tabby's our beloved cat was not euthanized and is here with us for the rest of her life.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

January 2009 when I adopted our cat.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

that they provide a wonderful sanctuary for cats that would otherwise be euthanized.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

well informed, kind, caring and honest.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build additional buildings and help more cats in hopeless situations.

Ways to make it better...

My experience with Tabby's was great.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

providing their services in our present economy.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I wish there were more places likes Tabby's.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About once a year

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2010
