Review for Tabbys Place a Cat Sanctuary Inc, Ringoes, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

My husband and I had driven by Tabby's Place on the way to New Hope many times. One day I said I had to find out what Tabby's Place was. So we stopped and were utterly smitten with what we found there. On that first visit, I said I HAD to volunteer my time there. That was six months ago and I have become even more impressed at the everyday miracles happening there EVERY day. From a business perspective, the Rosenbergs built a beautiful haven for cats that is all about cats: Not a memorial to someone's ego or a flash-in-the-pan, TP is a self-sustaining full service organization run by a dedicated and kind 'lean and mean' core staff. At any time, one will find numerous volunteers enjoying their time at Tabby's as much as the casual (or perennial) visitor. Each time I go to TP, I add more little sweeties to my 'fan of' list. There are great days (when one or more of these special kitties find homes of their own) and there are dark days (when favorite kitties become angel kitties), but the greater group of staff and volunteers pull together to remember the wonderful days spent in the company of these mysterious, beautiful creatures and renew their commitment to making the dream of Tabby's Place continue to come true.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Seeing adopters meet, fall in love with and (the best of all) come to claim their new family members. Miles and miles of smiles!

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

expand the operation to accommodate greater numbers of special needs cats.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Feeling happy in contributing to this worthy organization, as well as seeing first-hand excellence in care for the well being of these special cats. From the quality of veterinary and custodial care, Tabby's is the best!

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Great folks. There is no pretense, just people dedicated to keeping the Tabby's mission front and center.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand the good already being delivered.

Ways to make it better...

I could stop the clock and spend more time there.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Physical space limitations and lean staffing levels.

One thing I'd also say is that...

Thanks for sharing the Tabby's Place dream!

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  Volunteer & I've spent time concentrating on socialization of shy cats and getting to know many of the great personaities of the residents. I've been able to help with some of the administrative work, as well as sanitation and physical comfort of the cats.
