Review for National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty, Washington, DC, USA
I am an Israeli lawyer and came to the U.S. to do a master degree. During the summer I interned at the Law Center, and had a great experience. The staff is very professional and really committed to the issues the organization is advocating for. The interns are doing real and significant legal work like drafting shadow reports, general reports, researching and engaging in professional meetings - among others with State representatives. During the short time I've been there I witnessed some great successes and achievements accomplished by the Law Center and was really impressed. I will take with me this experience back to Israel and I'm sure I will use use some of the advocacy methods I learned here.
