Review for Wisconsin Nicaragua Partners of the Americas, Inc., Stevens Point, WI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I just returned from Nicaragua last week with a Spring Break Tour of the Wisconsin Nicaragua Partners projects. The tour was a success thanks to all the WNP Staff and Volunteers! I enjoy traveling with new volunteers to Nicaragua so they can see all the great work WNP does! The children at the Learning Libraries love their new books and the Learning Center Coordinators enjoy our visits to their communities. WNP is an outstanding example of what an international non-profit can do to empower people!

The Wisconsin Nicaragua Partners volunteers care passionately about the people of Nicaragua. These volunteers also work tirelessly to help improve the quality of life for Nicaraguans. This people to people exchange of time and talent builds community here in Wisconsin and in Nicaragua.

The W/NP organization is full of passionate, hard working staff and volunteers who feel a bond to a beautiful country and its people. I have traveled three times on the Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners Learning Center Treks and I'm always impressed how hard the staff work to guarantee an amazing experience. During the Learning Center Treks we offer workshops to teach skills to Nicaraguan women. These skills are proven to help empower women who have little opportunities in a very impoverished country. The experiences I've had have opened my eyes to the challenges that many third world countries face. I truly enojy returning each year to Nicaragua to see friends that I have made while visiting.
