My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for King Street Cats, Alexandria, VA, USA
I had a cat pass away in Spring 2013 and I knew I would need a buddy for my remaining cat. I decided to go to KSC because they seemed to have a good understanding of the cats in their care and I felt that they would be able to match me with the right fit for my remaining cat. Even though I had already picked out a few possibilites from their website, they introduced me to several cats and let me play with them for a few hours during my visit. They pointed out one cat that I hadn't noticed on the website, who was a happy, playful boy. After talking further with Vicky, KSC's president, I decided that this cat was the one for me and brought Marius home the next weekend. Marius was rescued from a kill shelter in VA, along with other cats he had been surrendered with. KSC really did save his life, and I'm glad to have such a wonderful companion now. KSC did an excellent job caring for him while he was at their shelter and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to friends or to adopt from them again in the future should I need or want to.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
A bigger space to have a larger playroom and/or more room for more rescues.
