Review for Infectious Diseases Society Of America Inc, Arlington, VA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

Regrettably, the Infectious Disease Society of America has published knowingly egregiously inaccurate Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of Lyme Disease. These Guidelines have resulted in a horrific toll of iatrogenic morbidity and mortality. IDSA evinces a consistent pattern of ignoring the science and an avalanche of entreties by experts in the field to change the guidelines. Then attorney general of Connecticut (now Senator) Richard Blumenthal sued IDSA over the guidelines on antitrust grounds. A settlement agreement was reached, but IDSA has broken the terms of the agreement and it's Guidelines remain unchanged. Shameful.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

have IDSA draft Guidelines based on science and advancing public health not on monetary self-interest.

Review for Childrens Hospital Corporation, Boston, MA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

This Hospital has had at least five instances in the past year and a half of taking children from their parents or threatening to do so under very controversial circumstances. These instances involve the Hosptial's guessing that a patient has Somatoform Disorder (there is no test for this disorder and there is no good foundation for it) rather than a legitimate physical disease diagnosed by the child's doctors outside the hospital and then accusing the parents of "medical child abuse." These are outrageous cases of abuse of children for profit. See the cases of Justina Pelletier, Elizabeth Wray and others in the News. Please give to another, deserving charity that helps children. Thank you for your consideration.
