My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Arlington Street People's Assistance Network, Inc., Arlington, VA, USA
Every December for 12 straight years I have worked with the A-SPAN volunteer coordinator to collect, organize and distribute "survival kits" and warm used clothing for its clients. A-SPAN has shown great appreciation for our efforts and clearly demonstrated the benefits to its clients of the donations my group has collected and donated. A-SPAN makes it very easy for us to keep giving year after year. In addition, A-SPAN is run very professionally and makes the very most out of limited resources. It offers a diverse array of resources (housing, counseling, job assistance, meals), while still feeling like a small non-profit. While many of its facilities unfortunately are somewhat dated (e.g. its emergency winter shelter), the service it provides is impactful and of high quality.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
diverse, from all backgrounds - but all were warm, friendly, and passinate about serving its clients.
