Review for Iron Gait Percherons Inc. - Draft Horse Rescue, Waleska, GA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

It is my belief that animal rescue is one of the most difficult jobs there is. The people at Iron Gait Percherons Rescue recognize that humans and animals behave much in the same way and everything they do is either an act of love or a cry for love. The Iron Gait Percherons Rescue team has the ability to put all of the necessary elements into play to achieve successful rescues for the community. I can only wish that all animal rescues were as successful as Iron Gait Percherons Rescue.

Iron Gait Percherons Rescue is approaching their fourth year anniversary and though I have only followed them for two years I am thankful that they are available to help horse owners in our community. Their job is difficult and time consuming but the care of the horses is always the first priority. The definition of rescue is to save (someone or something) from danger or harm. Iron Gait goes beyond that as they provide a safe and healthy environment for the horses to enjoy.

Iron Gait Percherons horse rescue exceeded my expectations. I have been to corporate facilities to see horses and when I first went to a rescue I didn't really know what to expect but the volunteers at Iron Gait Percherons took personal interest in each one of the horses they have rescued and they strive to accommodate the special needs of each rescued horse. What I found to be most impressive is the dignity that previous owners are given. The rescued horses are only part of the story. Many times the good intentions of humans are met with adversity and Iron Gait is willing to help both the people and horses recover from those adverse situations.
