Review for Churches Active in Northside, Cincinnati, OH, USA
I am a volunteer with CAIN, serving in both the pantry and on the Board. I believe CAIN offers a very needed service, providing food, personal care products, community meals and rent/utility and shelter assistance to those in need. The staff of CAIN are both compassionate and skilled in serving our guests. Our Board is tremendously committed to the mission and vision of CAIN of “connecting our community to challenge poverty by feeding bodies and souls.”

CAIN is an amazing emergency assistance program that serves individuals and families in the community by providing basic needs ( food, personal hygiene items, household products and diapers). Services are provided by a very small but dedicated staff and huge number of equally dedicated volunteers. One on one assistance is also provided for needs like utility assistance, rent, housing, clothing or whatever family needs come up. A free community meal is offered once per week to engage guests in socializing, provide activities for children and offer additional resources to families. I have volunteered with CAIN over the years and proudly serve on their Board of Directors.

CAIN is the heart and soul of our community. Neighbors helping neighbors. From choice food pantry to "choice holday shopping" CAIN treats consumers, donors and volunteers with respect and dignity. They care about leveraging resources and provide Benefit Bank assessment and sceening to extend financial supports beyond their pantry supplies/resources. Staff and compentent and well loved!
