Review for Yad Ezra Inc, Berkley, MI, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been involved with Yad Ezra for quite a number of years, and have seen it go from a fledgling organization to one which continues to have great impact on our Jewish community. The organization has expanded its services from primarily a food bank to providing school breakfasts and lunches while teaching good nutrition to the students its serves. These meals include fresh fruits and vegetables not normally a part of the students' diets. Yad Ezra has also provided toiletries and other goods in insure a healthy environment for its clients. I am amazed that Yad Ezra continues to increase its services to its ever-growing numbers of clients through the use of countless volunteers.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

being given the opportunity and the privilege of helping others who are less fortunate than me.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

I am allowed to be creative. And I have loads of fun with many new friends.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

Very committed to Yad Ezra. Some volunteers serve on a weekly basis, distributing food to those in need. The staff does a miraculous job. YE has 2 executive directors: one for fund-raising, the other to run the warehouse. It works very well!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand its efforts to relieve the stress of worrying about finding one's next meal.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
