My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for MONTANA NONPROFIT ASSOCIATION INC, Helena, MT, USA
MNA is an excellent organization. Their staff is exceptionally talented and their executive director won a national award for being an up and coming leader in the field. In a few short years, this relatively new nonprofit organization is now, per capita, the biggest state nonprofit association in the nation! MNA has an excellent annual conference in September and provides good member services, but they also are doing more and more in the area of technical assistance, training and advocacy. Their principles and practices document, available at mtnonprofit.org, is excellent and is the result of a year of work on the part of their training director. This organization has an important role to play in improving the professionalism and quality of nonprofits in Montana, many of which operate in remote rural areas with little access to assistance. Montana is a difficult state to serve, but MNA is making the most of their resources.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
the staff is exceptionally capable and motivated. They know how to be collaborative.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
professional, smart, committed.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
hire more staff to serve remote areas where nonprofits desperately need training in how to operate more effectively. I'd also buy them a plane so they could actually get to their entire service area without spending days on remote highways!
