Review for Adopt a Greyhound Atlanta Inc, Stone Mtn, GA, USA
I have been adopting retired racing Greyhounds from Adopt A Greyhound Atlanta since 1994. We now have our 7th and 8th Greyhounds in our home. We have been the proud parents of Freddie, Gene, Wally, Dancer, Pop, May, and are currently the parents of Bully and Daphne. Carl Viener, Founder of Adopt A Greyhound Atlanta has given most of his adult life, 24/7, 365 days per year, no vacations, no breaks to these beautiful dogs. He is the most dedicated and selfless rescue person I have ever met since he has adopted over 5,000 Greyhounds, utilizing the help of only a handful of volunteers over the years.
Our adoption experiences have always been good; we totally appreciated his personal knowledge of each Greyhound and their personality in helping us choose the right one for us. All of our Greyhounds have been healthy and well cared for in the time between arriving from their racing environment and being adopted. Carl truly loves this breed and it shows.
I would like to close by saying that Carl runs this 501c3 on a shoestring budget and lives extremely bare-bones for himself in order to accommodate the Greyhounds -- they always come first.
