Review for Tillys Kids Inc, Newark, NJ, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Tilly's Kids is a marvelous organization. Pastor Tilly from the House of Mercy Mission exposes children living in the Newark area to opportunities not normally afforded to them. The children are often paired with a mentor volunteer during their outings for one-on-one attention.
Pastor Tilly also has been instrumental in providing necessities to those in need living in Newark all year round. Also, through donations, she reaches over 3,000 children living in poverty at the holidays. She is a beacon of hope for thousands of children in Newark which has the unfortunate distinction of being a city with one of the highest rates of poverty for children in the US.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Give them more recognition for all that they are doing. They are very humble servants.

Review for Making Headway Foundation Inc, Chappaqua, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Making Headway is a top notch organization run by truly caring professionals. What they are able to provide to families with children with brain tumors and related cancers is remarkable. It is a unique model of care and support for families and patients. The funding they provide for research goes to the top doctors in the field that are making incredible strides. Hopefully in the near future, this organization will be more widely recognized and supported by corporations who value their charitable donations going to a worthy cause and a respectable foundation.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

Emphasize the need to secure more corporation donations to expand on research capacities.
