Review for Federation Employment Guidance Service-Closed for Operations, New York, NY, USA
My mother has been working for F.E.G.S. for over 15 years, and through it all F.E.G.S. has made an impact on my life. Besides having a happily employed mother, I received a $1000 scholarship from them two years in a row for my undergraduate education at RPI. In addition, I was employed by F.E.G.S. for one summer through the Hillel CLIP program. The experience I had working with developmentally disabled people is one that I will never forget. The staff at F.E.G.S. are caring and hard-working people that deserve recognition. Thanks to the experience I gained working at F.E.G.S. and the scholarships they awarded to me, I got into a reputable school with some financial aid, and received my Bachelor's in Science in 2007. I received my Master's in Science this year, and am working toward a Ph.D in biomedical sciences. Although there are other contributions to my academic success, F.E.G.S will always stick out in my mind as one of the major factors.
