Review for CORD USA, Flint, MI, USA
Last summer I spent 1 week in Sidhabari and interacted with CORD volunteers and administrative staff at the training center. It was enough to see the commitment and determination in each of them and how inspiring it was for me. I met with Mahila Mandal health workers and answered their questions related to health issues and nutrition in young women. They were so engaging and could look into the practical aspect of things to make it a self sustaining and cost effective measure. I found my interaction to be fruitful as I was able to empower them with knowledge and they were going to empower the women with skills and means with in their reach to address their health and nutrition needs! It was truly a very fulfilling experience!
