My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Third Eye Volunteer Foundation Nepal, Kathmandu , , Nepal
I traveled around Nepal alone this Jan. Though I only spent three days in Kathmandu, Bijaya kindly took me to several popular tourist spots and I really had a good time. Thanks to Bijaya and all his friendly family, I not only experienced the beauty of this ancient country, but also explored my inner self. This is beyond description. I stayed in Lamjung, a small village where natural beauty is at hand, and volunteered to teach in a private English boarding school. The way they educate is quite different from my background, hence sparked quite a culture shock, in a good way though. Aside from the school, I met my mother in Nepal during my journey. Bijaya's mother took good care of me. I guess I was a child in her eye. I felt warm and happy whenever I arrived my home in Lamjung. And I literally at the verge of weeping when I must say goodbye to Bijaya's mom. Nepal is famous for its natural beauty as well as the ancient buildings, but in my point of view, the most beautiful scenery in Nepal is its people.
