My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care, Milwaukee, WI, USA
I have been working at St. Ann Center for Intergenerational Care for almost 15 years, and during that time I have enjoyed a most unique environment unlike any other in the for profit or nonprofit sector. Every day I associate not only with my coworkers, but also the adults and children who come to the center for day services. Many of the adults are challenged with disabilities, and their attitudes and behavior despite these disabilities, are truly an inspiration and model for me. As our founder, Sr. Edna Lonergan, discovered early on, the children are a joy, energetic contribution to the daily life of the center, and are therapy in their own, special way, just be being who they are. I am grateful to enjoy so wonderful a workplace and to be a witness so much goodness and vitality daily.
