Review for Traveling Light Foundation, McMinnville, OR, USA
As the founder of this organization, I would like to focus my review on my experiences watching the recipients of our scholarships. Many of our goals have been met in such a short time, thanks to the efforts of our board and volunteers. I cherish seeing the smiles when we hand a STEM computer package to an eighth grader, the smiles on the teachers faces when we show up with an armload of soccer balls, a box of books, or a check to help purchase a new piano. These smiles remind me of my son, Ronan, for whom we founded the organization. He was a spark of hope and inspiration in so many lives, and we are all proud to be working in honor of his love for education and the betterment of our world.

DC Outreach provided a link to medical specialists that ultimately saved our son's life. Because of the connections we have made through this group, we know how to take care of our son and have become a part of a wonderful community that feel like family. And now that DC Outreach has published their clinical guidelines, we have a life saving tool that can be shared with doctors all around the world. Thank you DCO!
Review for Megan's Wings Inc, Upland, CA, USA
Megan's Wings came into our lives when our 3 year-old son was having a bone marrow transplant. Not only were were going through that, but we were expecting our second child at the same time. With no family nearby, we were at a loss as to what to do. My husband needed to continue working and I needed to be in the hospital isolation room with my son during transplant. When the baby was born, Megan's Wings helped us out by supporting us financially so that we could afford trustworthy childcare for our newborn. It was a truly hard thing to do, but to know that we had this financial support that allowed us to help our 3 year-old fight through transplant while our new born was safe and happy, was priceless. My heart will be forever grateful to Kim Savage and her efforts with Megan's Wings.

The information and access to medical specialists that DC Outreach connected me to was truly life saving for my infant son. I am proud to be a part of this group and to work to connect other families to this help and support.
Review for Camp Sunshine at Sebago Lake Inc, Casco, ME, USA
We just attended Camp Sunshine for the first time this fall and it was an experience we will never forget. We were able to meet for the first time, other families who have the same rare condition as our son, which was priceless. The volunteers at Camp Sunshine are phenomenal. It was the first time since my son's illness that we were able to let him play like a normal child, knowing he would be taken care of while we spent time with doctors and in support groups. I recommend every family with a child that suffers from a life-threatening condition attend Camp Sunshine at least once. Though we can't wait to go back!
