Review for Modest Needs Foundation, New York, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been a supporter of Modest Needs Foundation from its very beginning. Everyone who requests help is totally vetted and Modest Needs has complete transparency. They are highly rated. They know what they are doing and how to do it. The stories will break your heart, and with a few clicks you can give one-on-one to lovely people in temporary need. You can always feel secure in knowing that your money really goes where you thought it was going.

I've supported Modest Needs from the beginning when I saw Keith on TV. This organization is totally transparent, vetted, and accountable and will answer any questions you may have about how the money is handled. You can choose exactly who will receive the funds you send and can track the results. It doesn't get more responsible than this. I highly recommend it.

I've been with Modest Needs from the beginning. They are completely transparent as to how they research the applicants. The money does not go directly to them, it goes to the places they owe money to. You can read their thank you letters. Modest Needs has been vetted by consumer agencies, magazines and TV people who have interviewed Dr. Taylor. Even if all you can give is $5, you can choose who gets it. It is the only charity I totally trust as I know the people who are desperate are actually getting the money and I feel good about that.

I've been a pledge donor with Modest Needs almost from the beginning. It is very important to me that everything is so transparent and approved by the watch dog associations.. All approved applications are thoroughly vetted. You pick who gets your donation. You are notified when the vendor of the product or service receives the payment. The applicants do not receive the donation themselves. You read their thank you notes. Every application can almost bring you to tears. Keith had a small but important vision when he started this organization. God had a huge vision and He ran with it. It has continued to grow and gather supporters, organizations and foundations that want to be part of this vision. It not only makes you feel very good about yourself for being a part of it, but reading the applications make you very grateful for the blessings you have. When friends say: "I'd like to help survivors of [pick a disaster], but I don't trust the big name organizations who can't account for where all the millions of dollars went...", I have an answer for them. Modest Needs not only can, but does, account for where the money went. It went to help your neighbors.
