Review for National Center for Lesbian Rights, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

NCLR is lead and staffed by the most courageous and competent group of people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. NCLR has an incredibly broad and inclusive focus in its advocacy and has continually demonstrated the ability to see the long term benefits of cases, that do not on their face appear to benefit the LGBT community. NCLR has become a leader in the national LGBT community and is one of the few LGBT organizations that is clear in its commitment to further the rights of ALL LGBT people.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

Its many legal victories and its organizational projects.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

At this point in time, I do not think NCLR could ask for a better leader than Kate Kendell!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Its unrelenting committment to advocating for the rights of all lgbt people.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

The best and board member, or lgbt person, could ask for!

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Continue to do what it does, but on a larger scale.

Ways to make it better...

Not possible.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

Like many non-profits, continuing to find financial support for it work.

One thing I'd also say is that...

NCLR is the BEST!

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2008

Role:  Board Member & Educational Law Attorney.
